Asakichi is an elderly retired professor living in 20th century Tokyo. Although initially baffled by Demetrios popping up now and then randomly, he quickly learns to take it in stride, and often serves as Demetrios's guide around Tokyo, or helps him figure out how to solve the problem that brought him to Tokyo.
