Heisuke Toudou is the Eighth Division captain of the Shinsengumi and also youngest member of Shinsengumi. Appearing to be around the same age as Chizuru. He tends to be picked on by fellow members of the Shinsengumi, because of his small size. It's said that he was good friends with Harada and Shinpachi because the three of them often went out together. Long story short, a conflict led him to leave the Shinsengumi and join the Imperial Tomb Guard under Itou's leadership. Heisuke ultimately decided to return to the Shinsengumi after dying from an enemy attack, forcing him to drink the Water of Life, which ultimately awakens his vampire instincts.
